OUR TEAM

Kimberly Hannah Caterino, M.Ed., M.A.

 

Hannah has taught English and Composition at the middle school, high school, and college levels in Vermont.  She is a writing instructor at CCV Winooski and consistently incorporates multiple cultural perspectives into her lesson plans and pedagogy to stretch and redefine the traditional canon.  She is committed to collaborating with like-minded educators to promote equity, arts, literacies, and transformation.

Jamilah Vogel, M.S.

 

Jamilah is a long-time educator, ally, and advocate for social justice in public education.  Currently, she is a school counselor at the St. Albans City School where she serves as chair to the Maple Run school district Committee on Diversity.  Jamilah is a proponent of restorative practices.  She is an active member of a UVM research team on Restorative Practice in education, and endeavors to bring a restorative lens to her work. She continues to pursue education to become an ever more effective ally and interrupt forces of oppression and disunity.

OUR MISSION

Call and Response is an advocacy and educational organization committed to addressing social justice in schools, with a special focus on race and ethnicity. 

We support visions, suggestions, and conversations that further personal growth and action on increasing equity in regard to race, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, gender identity, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, age, creed, and ability.
